Construction Updates

St. John’s Mercy Main Entrance to Close June 7
St. John’s Mercy main entrance will be closed for seven months starting June 7. This is necessary to make way for a new main entrance scheduled to open in late December with an expanded, canopy-covered patient drop off area and circle drive.

The Conway Parking Garage will have a walkway on the main (street level) leading patients and visitors into the lobby of the new Patient Tower. A portion of the new patient tower main lobby will be open in June with access via a new link from the Conway Garage.

St. John’s Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital entrance will serve as an alternate entrance during construction for patients and visitors who need to access the main hospital. This will also serve as the location for all patients being discharged home from the south side of our campus.

Patient and Visitor Parking
Patients and visitors should park in the Conway Garage or surface lot in front of the St. John’s Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital. From the Conway Garage they will be able to access the hospital through the walkway to the new Patient Tower. The roof of the Conway Garage will be restriped to accommodate additional patient parking.

The second and third floors of the new tower will open in late July with an expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The third floor will house the inpatient Pediatrics unit and a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Adult units on the fourth and fifth floors will be complete in December of this year.
